Candidate Comments: As a Christian I have my personal beliefs, one of which is discrimination of any sort is wrong. We must however be careful and protect children from exposure in private areas such as restrooms and locker rooms. Private church based schools should not be forced to provide accommodations for these students against their beliefs and teachings.

Candidate did not answer question. Candidate Comments: SUPPORT and OPPOSE. In a religious setting such as a Church or School I support. Public officials take an oath to uphold the law, I as a public official cannot decide which laws I want to follow or not. When accepting a public position (elected or not) you are bound to the constitution and laws of the state and country.

Candidate Comments: I am pro life but am willing to let a doctor make a decision under certain situations under threat of life of mother, rape and incest.

Jeffery Arnold:

Candidate Comments: LFF has taken radical positions on what exactly expands gaming in Louisiana in the past few years. I do not support wholesale expansion of gaming, but I disagree with LFF positions on what expansion really means. If a bill clarifies existing law, it is not expansion.

Candidate Comments: I support allowing each district to make its own decision based on number of teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases in the PUBLIC school district. This should not be mandated in private or religious based school.

Jeffery Arnold:

Candidate Comments: Our current governor took this pledge and look at the budget mess we are in. I don't like new taxes, but a renewal is not new but has been interpreted by some to be one.

Candidate did not answer question. Candidate Comments: NO POSITION. This is federal law and as a state senator and not a U.S. Senator I do not have the opportunity to vote on such matters. Louisiana has not adopted the PP&ACA.

Jeffery Arnold:

Support

Candidate Comments: This would help in deciding if Sex Education is needed in a public school and to what degree it should be done. It should obviously be confidential and used only for that purpose.

Candidate did not answer question: Candidate Comments: NO POSITION on "Common Core." I support education standards, I am willing to look at any and all accountability standards for Louisiana. How else will we know where we measure up?
